Inspection Services

Crosby Restoration has the capabilities of assessing your structure for present and possible future problem areas.  We are constantly working with Property Managers and Owners finding solutions for their costly leak problems.  Water infiltration creates more expense for Property Managers and Owners than any other maintenance related problem.  Wouldn't you feel more comfortable working with a company that has been providing this service locally for over forty years on your building?

We also work with Architects and Engineers on a regular basis.  Our team of experienced riggers can provide access for A/E Firms performing building assessments.  We work side by side with Structural Engineers opening brick pockets, inspecting shelf angles, re-bar conditions, wall ties, and cracked structural concrete.

We assist Architects, especially on Historic Masonry Buildings, with specifying cleaning and repair procedures and materials.  Crosby Restoration is committed to the proper restoration and preservation of our country's historical buildings.

Responsible maintenance practices suggest a visual inspection of a building every year or two to check for obvious signs of deterioration, such as cracking, spalling, or efflorescence.  Any problems found should be repaired immediately.

The first and most important step in masonry / concrete repair is identifying and correcting the causes of the damage.  Stains may indicate unwanted chemical activity beneath the masonry surface.  Cracks may indicate unaccommodated structural stresses.  Stains and cracks together signal the probability of corrosion in the structural metal.  It is essential to solve the problem that caused the damage before repairing the damaged masonry / concrete.  Otherwise, the problem will surface again.
